Beautiful shiny things to put in our car!

New 'toys' as they arrive!

This is a disc from Mark's car - a well used 2ltr VX 270bhp car seen many times elswhere on this site. The discs were just about past the wear limit, so these pics are of well used discs, not new ones that have failed prematurely.

It is interesting to see the cracks have all propagated in the same place, evenly around the disc relative to the slots in between the surfaces of the disc.

Purchase of a 1 tonne crane for work on the car. Collected and transported in 2 huge cardboard boxes - in the 7!

Since buying this I have done most mechanical stuff in Mark's well equipped garage and so have just about never used it - however it is out on permanent loan somewhere in the South East, transported between various Club members who need it. To be honest it is in a right state now, but at least I have not had to store the big bugger for the last 3 years!!

Crane in action. I am going to make some stands to go under the car for safety.

Peter's similar crane in action. It makes access to the under side of the car so much easier.

Pictures of the home made sump guard fitted to Jeff's car in France. Made from 5mm aluminium plate, folded and creased. Jeff has a beautiful BDR engined car.
