One of the joys of Caterham ownership is the ability to drive to a track day - often abroad - hoon around the track - hopefully embarrassing much more expensive machinery - and then drive home again (tyres permitting of course). It is something we would do more finances permitting, but with careful planning it is possible to seek out bargains and opportunities to keep costs down.
Our first ever track experience with the car was during our summer trip in 2001, when we called in on the Nurburgring and did 3 laps. We did our first 'official' track day at Elvington Airfield in September 2001 and since then we have driven at Brands Hatch (Indy Circuit), Silverstone, Crois en Ternois, Mas du Clos and Le Mans Bugatti in France, Spa in Belgium and back at the Nordschleife in Germany, as well as having far too much fun at the Lotus 7 Club organized fun days at Brooklands, and at various airfield days with UK organisers.

Heading through Steilstrecken-Kurve and up towards the Karussell on our first visit to the Ring, just 3 weeks after getting our car. This was our first track experience - in at the deep end!
