Modern concept cars appear at Goodwood, often straight from the Car Shows. This is a detail of the stunning Giugiaro Alfa Romeo concept car. These cars, as one-offs, can cost millions to produce and would be un-touchable at Car Shows...

...yet once again, in the case of this Alfa, the cars are driven up the hill.

The amazingly detailed engine bay of the Pagini Zonda. With an engine developed especially for this car by Mercedes, the use of materials on this car is simply stunning. Carbon fibre, alloy and leather in perfect harmony! Note the leather strap for the carbon box in the foreground.

BMW pack up. The X5 shown here has a 750bhp Le Mans winning BMW engine under the bonnet, and hold the 4x4 record around the Norschleife, unsurprisingly!
