Feeling a little hung-over from a late-night-early-start journey!
Pre-trip preparation after a few bottles, whilst catching up with an old teacher of mine who was over from France visiting.
I'm sure he was delighted to be dragged up at about 4am to set off back to France for a day trip!!
No tyre rack this time, so I just strapped 2 old wheels for use on the rear of the car whilst on track - I'd keep the 'good' tyres (48's) on the front to help kill any understeer.
Mark also there, filling up before hitting the track.
Mark and Adrian trying to figure out something...
....I think they have lost the bonnet.
Bit chilly on this trip, in early October I think!
Still - a good hat keeps the chill off. Dave, Adrian and Mark model some bad ones.
I'm clearly not in a state to help after 3 hours sleep and a freezing drive over.
So I leave them to it.
With maybe the odd helpful hint now and again..'This is your engine....'
Dave and I hit the track - obviously following something that is chucking a lot of smoke out!!
Dave sets off for a go in our car. Dave is otherwise known as Wile7 on Blatchat!
| Notice the birds... | | | ...that ignore Dave entirely and land for a peacefull graze! |
Is that mud I see on the wheel? I little off perhaps? Can't remember to be honest - but it must have been Dave - I never spin!
Mark, on a much sunnier day.
Oh the shame, after visiting the gravel!
Car looks good though!
Checking for gravel perhaps?!
Not our van in the background, though it would be nice for these 'away' days!
Mark and his twin lap the circuit.
Marks slicks after some hard fun...actually, judging by the picture a few shots down, this might have been at the beginning of the day...
De-laminating slicks point to a hard days sliding!!
